[FieldTrip] Getting Ready for the PracticalMEEG & FieldTrip Workshop

Dear participants to the FieldTrip track at PracticalMEEG 2025, I am looking forward to meet you all next week!

I have (mostly) finalized the instructions for the practical hands-on sessions and have posted the preparation that you should do at PracticalMEEG workshop in Aix-en-Provence - FieldTrip toolbox . In short: a bit of reading, but important is that you download the data from one subject from our download server at Index of /workshop/practicalmeeg2025/. I suggest you get subject 15, unless you plan to switch between toolboxes and training material; in that case subject 1 is probably better (as used by the others).

best regards, Robert

PS I am still struggling a bit to find my way on this forum, with the categories, subcategories, tags, and topics, so I do hope that this will reach you.

Oh, and please note that the download is about 17 GB – that is too large to postpone to next week and download when you are on the eduroam network of the Cube! It is also too large to put in a zip file.

You should use a WebDav client, like https://cyberduck.io (works on Windows, macOS and Linux), or you should mount the folder as a network drive on your computer (works on Windows and macOS). Using CyberDuck or following mounting, you should drag-and-drop the directory to download, so that the subdirectory structure remains intact.

I will also bring the data on a few USB sticks, but those are not fast and me copying the data onto them is already taking more than 10 minutes (and still ongoing), so you copying it off will also take a considerable amount of time. In case you fail to download the data in time, please come and find me on Tuesday morning prior to the lectures, so that I can give you a USB stick and that you can start the copying well ahead of the hands-on session.
